Massa Brown Rice
This medium-grain brown rice has an excellent texture and nuttiness. It is minimally processed, with only the inedible hull removed, preserving the protein, bran, and nutrients. To develop the flavor, harvest is delayed to let the rice grains fully ripen on the plant. Much like tree-ripened fruit, this simple practice gives rice a sweeter, more complex flavor.
Due to their natural oils, keep rice in an airtight container in a cool, dark pantry, and use it within several months. Storing in the refrigerator will help the rice last several additional months.
Massa Brown rice comes from a fourth-generation rice farm near the Sacramento River in Northern California. The hot climate, silty clay soils, and abundant water are the perfect environment for growing the high quality medium grain rice, using many sustainable practices of irrigation and cultivation.
