Sabi Kairagi Round Plate/Bowl 8"

Japanese made, French inspired

The Japanese tradition of Sabi Kairagi, or rust crackle, requires the trained hand of an artisan to produce. The clay is wrinkled during a first firing process and brown paint is added and then wiped away so it only shows in the cracks. A transparent glaze is added during the final firing.

This peice can be used as a shallow bowl or plate
