To be on the wait list for this sold-out event, please email our events manager with your name and number of guests.
Preeminent Santa Rosa historian Gaye LeBaron has chronicled life in Sonoma County with dedication for over half a century. The erstwhile newspaper columnist, 2015 Sonoma County Woman of the Year, and 1984 Grand Marshall of the Luther Burbank Rose Parade now has a new project up her sleeve: a new book. The Wonder Seekers of Fountaingrove delves into the story of Thomas Lake Harris, a religious zealot and cult leader who ensnared Santa Rosa in the late 1800s. The last buildings from his utopian community burned down in the 2017 fires, but thanks to LeBaron, the astounding story of Fountaingrove won’t be lost to time. Her new work explores the big personalities behind Santa Rosa’s most notorious cult and the fires that devastated a community and destroyed a complicated landmark.
Spend an evening with Gaye LeBaron and the Healdsburg Literary Guild discussing LeBaron’s career, Santa Rosa’s remarkable history, and The Wonder Seekers of Fountaingrove. We’ll enjoy wine, small bites, and conversation with a local living legend.
