Lisburn Runner

Tradition in practice

$40.00 - $47.50

Featuring a true self-finished selvedge edge that won’t unravel, this hand-made cotton and linen runner has a classic provincial look, inspired by antique French sacking material. In the 19th century, the woven stripes on those sacks played a significant role – different colours represented the contents of the sack, and the stripe designs helped farmers identify their own sacks at a market.

Putting a high value on transparency of craft, these South African textiles are made using traditional techniques in a mill that is set adjacent to the store. All natural fibers are sourced using ethical trading practices, and never mass produced.
