Willow Peg Basket

From willow harvested in Southwest France

The willow peg basket is a classic picking basket traditionally used for collecting pegs, or clothespins, and gathering berries on the farm. It also happens to look pretty amazing when placed on a table, laid on a bench, or used as a serving vessel.

Norfolk cultivates 30 varieties of willow at their home in Southwest France. Using their own willow in concert with varieties from Somerset and the Touraine in the Loire Valley allows them to control the process from start to finish. Blending a full range of East Anglian fishing, agricultural, and domestic basketware with traditional French and Spanish styles, Norfolk continuously develop their trade by exchanging techniques with other European basketmakers.
